Physique 57 India

Immunity Boosting Turmeric Chia Seed Pudding

Turmeric has been used in Indian for its medicinal properties for centuries. This golden spice sits on India’s history for nearly 4000 years! However, in the last few years, it has become very popular across the world for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Turmeric is an excellent ingredient to help detoxify your body from the inside out! Our second superfood ingredient in this recipe is chia seeds. These tiny seeds pack a massive amount of nutrients and fibre with very few calories. Add to that a big serving of Physique 57, and you’ve got yourself an instant immunity boost!

Remember that little extra turmeric milk we made from the Immunity Boosting Turmeric Latte recipe? This is where it comes in. This recipe is a great way to start your day. Its versatility makes it perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a mid-day snack!

Ingredients:

1 cup of pre-made cold turmeric milk

3 tbsp or 1/4 cup chia seeds

1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)

Instructions:

In a bowl, add the chia seeds, left over turmeric milk and they honey or maple syrup. Whisk together until combined well.

Pour into serving bowls and refrigerate overnight.

Mix well before serving, and top with your favourite fruits, nuts or even coconut shavings.

P.S.: You can also add a dash of saffron for an added flavour boost.

While setting it overnight is perfectly fine to get the consistency just right, if you want a really thick pudding we suggest you let it sit for even longer. A longer set time allows the chia seeds to become more gelatinous and form a thick, creamy tapioca-like pudding.
