While this age-old remedy might keep you in general good health, could it possibly be an elixir to a better immune system? Food does play a crucial role in keeping your immune system working at its best, but that’s not all it needs to help you fight off illness.

Your immune system is a complex network of biological processes that protects your body from diseases. It detects and attempts to naturally heal a wide range illness-causing organisms like viruses, bacteria, parasitic worms, cancer cells and even objects such as wood splinters.

With the current situation over the coronavirus, one can’t be too careful. Along with washing your hands, sanitizing your belongings, wearing a mask and keeping a safe distance, it’s also important to boost your immune system.

Here are 4 simple ways to boost your immune system:

Healthy Diet

It goes without saying that a healthy diet is crucial to a healthy mind and body. This means ensuring you eat balanced diet of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean protein and healthy fats. Additionally, make sure you get plenty of nutrients and vitamins through diet or supplements to boost your immune system.

Regular Exercise

30 to 45 minutes of moderate exercise is a must every day! We’re not saying you need to start lifting weight and pumping iron, but a good cardio and strength workout will help boost your immunity. We suggest 30 minutes of barre every day and you’re good to go!

Drink Water

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. We cannot stress enough, how important it is to keep your body hydrated at all times. Drinking at least 2 liters of water a day will ensure your body is hydrated and the toxins are flushed out regularly, thus boosting your immune system. If 2 liters of water is too much for you, try balancing it out with fresh fruits and veggies that have a high water content. You can also count your cups of green tea too.

Sleep

How many of us truly get a healthy 7 to 8 hours of restful sleep every night? It is very important that you keep the phone and other distractions away and get yourself some beauty sleep. It makes all the difference!

Should this information change, it is my sole responsibility to promptly notify the instructors at the Studio(s) of AMP Fitness LLP.

Any personal property brought to classes is at your sole risk regarding theft, damage, or loss. You agree that Physique 57 is not responsible for the safekeeping of your personal belongings while you attend classes or are at a Physique 57 location.

All cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected] 12 hours before the class booking. Cancellations outside of this timeframe will be deducted from your class package. Clients unable to join a Full or Express Studio class 10 minutes past the start time will have the class deducted from their package.

Payments can be made online via our app with a valid credit or debit card. All classes must be paid for in advance and are non-refundable. Clients can pre-register for classes up to one hour prior to the scheduled class time to reserve their space. If the class is full, you will be placed on a waitlist; additions from the waitlist are on a first-come, first-served basis. Instructor requests and preferred date and class timings are subject to availability.
